WHO WE ARE

Pete Sylvester began working in the A/V industry in 1990 at Stereo Sound in Chapel Hill as a warehouse employee and eventually worked his way up to warehouse manager. By 1994 he had moved into sales with Audio Visions in Durham. Following his gig with Audio Visions, he worked in sales at ALR Electronics in Chapel Hill.

In 2001 Pete decided it was time venture out on his own. He wanted to create a custom A/V company based on excellent service at a fair price with no pushy sales tactics. Hopefully Sonic Room clients see his passion and love for the A/V industry and that it translates to their A/V systems and installations. Simple concept – great service at a fair price and jobs done on time – on budget. Give Pete a call today.

  • Pete will be your sole point of contact – no matter the size of the job – to ensure your project goes smoothly

“For weeks after my installation, Pete suffered through many calls from me at all hours when I forgot how to switch from one input to another – and it didn’t seem to bother him at all. It was a pleasure working with Pete and his service oriented technicians.” – Lucien, Durham, NC

“Pete accessed my needs and gave practical advice, with an understanding of my available budget. He recommended the appropriate equipment and performed a quality installation. I fully recommend Sonic Room for all of your audio/video equipment and services.” – Mitch, Durham, NC

“Sonic Room designed a massive AV system in our house including a main zone with surround sound and five other zones, (three indoor and two outside). They included the ability to control the volumes individually with remotes and dials. They creatively hid all of the lines – even without crawl or attic space to hide them.” – Lucien, Durham, NC
